Annabelle can make a hat out of anything

...including an empty bag of tortilla chips.

My good friend Reba came for a visit from southern CA last week. Annabelle enjoyed having her here.

We've been slowly getting some plants for the house, including these cuttings from the jade tree outside our front door. I'm not sure why we haven't done it sooner- it really brightens up the house.

new hat

We finally found a hat that Annabelle will tolerate, and even likes. I took her to the store to have her pick one out, and after she saw this one she wanted nothing to do with the other hats. Now when we tell her to go put her hat on to go for a walk, she'll run to find it and put it on herself. Here she is the day we got it, playing dress up with one of my shirts.

4th of July Weekend

We were lucky to have a visit from Bridget on 4th of July weekend, and John tried to recreate the Dogwood Festival mesquite bbq (minus the potato shoestrings).
