About a month ago John updated Annabelle's high chair so she could sit at the table with us. We've really been enjoying it, and so has Annabelle. Now it's a weekday routine for Annabelle to sit at the table and color or play with puzzles while John fixes lunch.

2 year check up

Annabelle had her two year checkup today, and everything went well. She's 25 lbs and 35 inches, which is the 25th percentile for weight and 75th for height. She was able to stand on the big scale for the first time- much easier than trying to convince her to sit still on the baby scale :-)

Annabelle was very excited to see balloons on her birthday cake. They're one of her favorite things, and she calls them 'ba-woosh'.

Annabelle turns 2!

For Annabelle's birthday on Friday, my parents came to town and we took her to Happy Hollow Park and Zoo.




Of all the animals, she was the most interested in this turtle that was slowly making its way into its little house.



I think her favorite thing might have been running up and down this hill. Until we found the maze:

Our friend and neighbor Erin works at a learning farm in Los Altos Hills. The other weekend she gave us a tour, and we got to see all the animals up close. Annabelle had a great time, and was really gentle with all the animals. Her favorite was the hen house, where she had fun watching a chicken that was squawking loudly the whole time we were in there.

Today we got the results from the second tumor board, and they agreed with the first. That means no chemo or other treatment, just future follow ups. Good news! Time to celebrate after a long wait.

Annabelle has a new laugh that sounds like 'hoo hoo hoo'. She reserves it for when she thinks something is especially funny or impressive, like John doing a fantastic new trick with the hula hoops.
