color progression

As best I can remember, here is how Annabelle started to identify colors.

First:
All colors: blue

Then:
Blue/Green: blue
Orange/Red: orange
Yellow: yellow
Black: black
White: white

Now:
Blue: blue
Green: sook
Orange: orange
Red: red
Yellow: yellow
White: white
Pink: ink
Black: black

John reads to Annabelle every day before nap time and bed time. He recently started reading non-picture books, which Annabelle identifies by book cover color. Whichever book they're on she treats like a favorite teddy bear. She even carries it around in the morning when she first wakes up. One day I had to sneak in her room during nap time to get something, and found her like this. I couldn't resist snapping a picture.

bike!

Annabelle loves bikes these days. She's always excited to see one when we're out and about, pointing and yelling, "BIKE!" It's even more exciting if one is strapped to a car or the front of a bus. Even better are two together, which gets a resounding "TWO BIKES!!!". Motorcyles are 'circle bikes' and are 'noisy', but still entertaining. Her enthusiasm never ceases to amaze me.

She loves riding her trike, and recently started pedaling strong enough to ride on her own. We'll probably remove the handle soon!
