A few more pictures from when my parents were here... These were taken with Annabelle's first phone! (I know, if you know me you're probably shocked). A friend gave her his old iPhone, and Annabelle loves it. It has doesn't have service, but she loves looking at pictures, playing music, and reading Dr. Suess. It's great for long car rides!

We've had a lot of rain the last couple of weeks, so I was looking for some pictures John took of Annabelle in the rain the other day. I came across these from a warm spell we had a few weeks back. I love the rain, but I'm looking forward to summer afternoons relaxing in the backyard.

My parents were in town last week, and we took Annabelle to the aquarium in Monterey for the first time.









A shark was the first thing in the aquarium that Annabelle recognized and pointed out, so John got her her own shark. Right away she gave it a big hug, and the two became inseparable. 'shark!' was the last thing she said that night, and the first thing she said the next few mornings. So far it's her only stuffed animal she insists on having both in the crib, and around the house during the day.

John's brother came for a visit this past weekend. Annabelle gave him the nickname 'Hi'. Every morning she'd walk around the house looking for him, raising her hands in question, asking "Where's Hi?"



We took a quick trip out to the redwoods at Big Basin. We accidentally took the windiest road to get there, and Annabelle got car sick for the first time. But all was forgotten once we got to the big trees.
