Sweetie Belle

We've been asked a few times if Annabelle has any nicknames yet, or if she's going by 'Anna'. So far it's 'Annabelle', although John has taken to calling her 'sweetie Belle'.

I went back to work this week (on Thursday), and John officially started his new role as stay at home dad. We both (or should I say all three of us) had good days. It's going to be challenging working a full week next week, but I'm sure we'll get into the swing of things.

California Winter

January for us in San Jose means it's time to cut back the roses and banana plants. It also means John gets to practice his machete skills (for the bananas, of course, not the roses). It's no small job, since the banana plants grew even taller than last year. It'll take a while to get it done, since they'll fill several green bins.

Grandma's Visit

John's mom was in town this past week to meet Annabelle. We had a lot of fun hanging out, cooking, reorganizing the living room, and generally being entertained by Annabelle.
