nick and rena's wedding

My brother Nick got married last month- we're so happy for him and to have Rena as a sister-in-law! Annabelle was the flower girl, and I stood up for Nick, along with my brothers Steven and Lew and my cousin Jim.

Some things I want to remember about Annie at this age.

Birds eat grass, and should be willing to fly down to eat goldfish crackers out of your hand.
Birds and flies are 'silly' when they take flight.
The fish in the neighbor's pond eat flower petals.
She's been calling me 'mommom'.
She's constantly asking us what we're doing.
She'll sit or lay across you and tell you that you're stuck.
She does an enthusiastic 'whee!' when going under bridges, tunnels, or up or down big hills. When we've passed them, she'll say 'bye whee!'. Or 'two whees!' if there are two bridges.

Have I mentioned that Annie loves dogs? Thankfully several of our neighbors have dogs- here she is with Ollie at a neighbor's house. The last picture is her reaction after he gave her a big, slobbery kiss.

Chad's Wedding

A few weeks ago we went down to Visalia for my cousin Chad's wedding. Annabelle went a little crazy running around at the reception (and hopping on the dance floor) after being cooped up in the car for several hours. Thankfully there were some generous friends there that us keep an eye on her. It was a beautiful wedding and it was great to see everyone, but for some reason we only took one picture at the reception- Annie with Uncle Lew, playing with the wedding favor dice.


And the hills on the way home. Annabelle had fun pointing out all the cows and horses on the way back.
